BALTCO SPORTS FLAG FOOTBALL RULES
Below is a list of general rules and regulations for the Baltco Sports Summer All-Mens Flag Football League. A more detailed packet of all rules, penalties etc. will be distributed to the coaches at the coaches meeting. It will be the coach's responsibility to familiarize himself and his team with the rule book.
GAME RULES
- 8 Players per Team (Offense vs. Defense)
- 30 Minute Halves (5 Minute Halftime)
- 2 Timeouts per Half
- Coin Flip to Begin the Game
- There WILL Be Regular Season Overtime!
OFFENSE
- 2 Catches Beyond the Line of Scrimmage (Per Set of Four Downs) for a FIRST DOWN
- 2 First Downs (Max.) Before GOAL TO GO - No "Dinking & Dunking" In This League!
- QB & Player Runs Allowed at Any Time
- All Players (except QB) are Eligible Receivers
- One (1) Foot In Bounds (w/ Control) = A Completed Catch
- Punting Is Allowed
- Play Continues Until Player's Flag Is DISLODGED
- Touchdowns earn 6 points ... Offense chooses to go for 1 POINT or 2 POINT Conversion
DEFENSE
- Zone Defense & Man Defense is Allowed!
- Rusher(s) Has a "5-Count" Prior to Pursuing the QB (ALL DOWNS)
- One (1) Blitz Per Set of Four (4) Downs ... Rusher(s) May Pursue QB PRIOR to the "5-Count"
- Interceptions May Be Returned For Yardage And/Or a TOUCHDOWN
- Intercepted Extra-Point Attempts May Be Returned for TWO (2) POINTS
- Defense Must Go For the Offensive Players FLAGS ... No STRIPPING Of The Football Is Allowed
- Five (5) Yard "Contact Zone" Allowed Off of the Line of Scrimmage
